I feel like I threw away $ on this book By awesome game No offense to the author- I can relate to her struggles and applaud her for finding a solution for her child but there was nothing in this book that I didn't already know/ hadn't read before. I feel like I threw away $ on this book.

This book is not a "rant" against medications. It is one woman's account of her successful quest to heal her son from ADHD. She reports on their experience before diagnosis and with conventional medication, as well as with the functional medicine approach that ultimately worked to move her son from troubled and difficult to thriving.
2 of 4 people found the following review helpful. ADHD cannot be CURED. By Jenn Brockman There is no cure for ADHD. It's a neurobiological disorder, not a behaviorial disorder. Improving behaviors will improve overall ability to handle life, but it won't change the brain which is miswired in those of us with ADHD. If you want to read this book with the idea of being a better parent and helping your child learn good coping skills for dealing with the issues that come with having ADHD, hey, it couldn't hurt. But don't buy it thinking that anything you do will somehow cure this disorder.
