I can’t believe that bills and letters that were already trashed can still be used on crimes by this kind of thieves! Who wants to go through all of these? I'm very glad I have read this book. Interesting, very detailed, everything was outlined but in a concise manner. I enjoyed reading every single page of it. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone especially to those I cared for.

I don't have a 750 credit score, but I do have medicare and children. Identity theft is fraud. They can steal more than your money, they steal your identity, hense the name. This book gives you a manual to negotiate the mindfield, and yes. I said mind because this form of knowledge is vital power in this day and age with computers that do what any savy thief tells them to.

Excerpt from The Message From PatmosIt seems desirable to state in the beginning that this exposition of The Revelation seeks to present the obvious meaning of the Apocalypse as it appears in the text taken at its face value, including its many references to other parts of the Scriptures. We have not tried to force the book into the molds of any theory; but to ask, what does the book say and what does it evidently mean?In the pursuit of this purpose we have been led to pass criticism upon the premillennial view of the Apocalypse. We trust such criticism has not been unduly pressed; but since the view in question is somewhat prevalent at the present time, and is backed with a considerable literature it has received more than a passing notice in the present volume. This statement is made because the writer desires to disclaim antagonism to the premillennialists for whom he entertains a very high regard and whom he counts as his friends. About the Author Professor David S. Clark joined the Willamette faculty in January 2002. He is a frequent scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg and has held the Alexander von Humboldt and Max Planck Society research fellowships. Clark previously taught at the universities of Colorado, Houston, Louisiana State, and Tulsa. He was also the Inns of Court Fellow at Inner Temple in London (2000), the Fulbright Chair in Comparative Law at Trento University (1999), the Wing Tat Lee Chair in International and Comparative Law at Loyola University Chicago (1996), and the Dan Hopson Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law at Southern Illinois University (1987).

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Revelation for the Man in the Pew By Chris Cole This is a facsimile reprint of a commentary originally published in 1921. Unlike many of the Kessinger reprints, this one is clear, with no missing pages, and the type, while antique, is large and easily readable.Clark approaches the Revelation from a Reformed, postmillenial, and preterist position. He concludes that it was written before the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD, and interprets much of the book as applying to that event. This is a very brief and nontechnical commentary. The interpretations are short, sometimes no longer than the verses themselves. The text is the King James Version. There is no Greek or Latin, and few references to other books in the Bible. That last may be the only weakness, since Clark does refer to other books, but without giving specific citations.This volume is easily read by the average layman. As I said, there is no Greek or Latin, and Clark also avoids technical theological jargon.

Not a technical commentary; it is a collection of explanatory remarks from a sermon series delivered by the author. "The Message From Patmos" discusses the book of Revelation from a historicist, preterist viewpoint. If you are looking for an antidote to the "Left Behind" series and other Apocalyptic Christian Fiction this is a good beginning read. It can be difficult to find in bookstores but Amazon delivered it on time and very affordable.

She dresses the most important women of the city's elite, streaks through her day satisfying every customer's whims and ego. Always lurking in the far corners of her mind is the reality of who she is: an average girl from Queens with a divorce and an autistic child on her other resume. The story races through the chapters as fast as she handles the client with no appointment demanding her time. She needs the exactly right ensemble for yet another uber-important event; and lunch served for her and her dog at 10:00 am. Others claiming this time in Bonnie's day are attended to in nanosecond spurts without letting them know they have been moved down the priority list. Bonnie's personal life is complicated by mutual attraction to a married man while a vile co-worker constantly attempts to unseat her from her job. The Trade Off is fast-paced as a New York minute, while our heroine evolves into the person she is and wants to be. Clever and satisfying, don't wait until summer at the beach to read it.

By Lynda Kamerling I haven't finished the book yet, I'm about 1/3 of the way through; however...I know within the first few pages whether I'm going to enjoy a book or not and I'm enjoying this book tremendously!!! The heroine, Bonnie, is a good person, has quite a bit going on in her life and is sympathetic without being whiny. I cannot WAIT to see how it ends!!

The authors introduce us to Bonnie Madden in paragraph one—a single mom with a special needs child, Bonnie is riding the subway from Corona, Queens to her Manhattan job as a personal shopper for Frankels New York (think Bergdorfs, Saks or Bloomies.) Bonnie is expected to sell the store's HIGHEST-priced wares to the sophisticated demanding wives of hedge-fund owners, Russian oligarchs, and Hollywood A-listers. Shopping for these top-1% wives opens a window into NYC's slick/dishy/bitchy side and will keep you turning the pages. Bonnie's life is socially and economically bi-polar—and she thinks of herself as coming from a place (Corona) with "closet-sized bedrooms" to cater to the whims of (Manhattan) customers who have "bedroom-size closets."

Another Great One-Year Devotional from Chris Tiegreen By Heather King Several years ago, I received one of Chris Tiegreen's One Year Devotionals as a Christmas present. I'm usually a devotional critic, expecting more meat and substance to be packed in than most devotionals really deliver. Yet, I fell in love with Tiegreen's style and made that Christmas present part of my daily reading all year long. Since then, I've used several of his devotionals as part of my regular quiet time. I choose them because I know what to expect---quick, to-the-point writing that gives me some new way of looking at a particular verse or gives me something deeper to meditate on throughout the day, which is exactly what I'm looking for.His book, The One Year Hearing His Voice Devotional, follows the same format and style that I love. Each entry begins with a Scripture, includes a one-page devotional thought and ends with a few lines of prayer. Nothing fancy or elaborate, but still thoughtful and contemplative. I like how his devotionals follow a particular theme for the entire year, in this case hearing God's voice. Right from the beginning, he addresses the skeptics who think surely God doesn't speak to us directly. He highlights that it is the nature of God to speak and it is His desire to have a relationship with us.I'm likely the only person to feel this way, but the only part of the book I didn't like so much were the occasional entries written "From the Heart of God," in the same style as the popular book, Jesus Calling. About once a week, he has included these entries written as if God were speaking directly to the reader. It does fit with the book's theme of God speaking, but I have to say I prefer devotionals written from a third-person perspective.Other than that personal preference, I have enjoyed the One Year Hearing His Voice Devotional and look forward to continuing to use Chris Tiegreen devotionals as part of my quiet time in the future.I received this book free from the publisher. By Doreen This review is for 'The One Year Hearing His Voice Devotional': 365 days of intimate commmunication with God by Chris Tiegreen. First off, the cover is beautiful! This book has 370 pages and each day has a Scripture, a nice devotional and a brief prayer. It also has a Scripture index in the back.Listening to God is a process, a journey and an adventure. This can take time, but it's worth the effort. He promises that those who seek Him will be rewarded with His presence and His voice. The words of the living God are powerful and life-changing. We have to believe that God still speaks, but that He's speaking to us. This Year Learn To Listen For The Voice Of The One Who Loves You Most By Jim Willis The One Year Hearing His Voice Devotional by Chris Tiegreen contains 365 devotionals about intimate communication with God. If you are looking to enter into a deeper relationship with God by understanding the ways in which He speaks, then this book is for you. Each devotional starts with a Bible scripture verse, than a devotional reading, and ends with a prayer that brings it all together. There are also devotionals titled “From the Heart of God”, which are like God is speaking directly to the reader."I never promised that you wouldn't go through deep waters, rivers of difficulty, or fires of oppression. I have promised, however, that I will be with you and bring you through. You need to understand the difference. When you encounter trials, even painful or difficult ones, don't think that I've let you down. I'm with you even in the midst of them."I have tried reading devotional books before, but they have never kept my interest nor helped me come closer to God. But after reading this book for the last few months I am amazed how much this book has helped me take next steps with God. I highlighted a lot throughout it because I felt like God was often speaking directly to me.I have found that starting each day with this book has helped me to form positive habits that connect me to what's most important. Words are extremely important to me and this book has helped me find a natural rhythm for drawing closer to God. Daily focus on the devotional message has had a very personal and essential impact on my spiritual growth, and you can have that too, just get a copy of this book.I pray that this book finds its way into your hands somehow, whether you buy it, you receive it as a gift, or if you borrow it from someone. Bethan moaned about her job and boss, but spends most of her time there doing things other than works and trying to shirk off early. She comes across as a doormat for the boyfriend, and its kind of easy to see very early what’s going on there. Lee is selfish, rude and just walks over Bethan and sometimes I think why on earth are they together, it seems that its more important to her that he’s good-looking, chasing fame ( and certainly more important to him!) and wanted by other women, than they have a genuine relationship. She just accepts all his excuses. When she loses her job one moments she’s worrying about paying the next months rent, then she’s out shopping, retail therapy. Clearly not that worried about the rent...Then there’s her best friend – a vapid, shallow girl, who sleeps with anyone that takes her fancy, and sees men with girlfriends as OK – she tells herself if they were happy then the boyfriend wouldn’t approach her. I really can’t like that kind of selfish person.As for the story – well, its kind of light,no real depth to the characters or story IMO and I found it really hard to believe the way everything just went Bethan’s way, from meeting Vincent to the jobs that followed just when she needed them. I liked Vincent but would he really be oblivious to what a bitch his wife really was? Overall I just couldn't get into the story – I did finish it but it was hard going, it was one of those where it just wasn’t right for me. as ever though its just one view and there will be many that differ. thankfully we all want different stories – it’d be dull if we didn’t!Stars: Sorry but this one is a two – just didn’t cut it for me.ARC supplied by Netgalley and publishers

By LifeWithJoy Bethan Brooks spends her days working a boring job in reinsurance and comes home to her somewhat pathetic boyfriend in the evenings. Her boyfriend Lee is a wedding singer that she met at her cousin’s wedding where he was part of the entertainment. On the side he’s in a band called The Vampire Squirrels. Between his wedding gigs and band practices, Bethan doesn’t see much of Lee.Although Bethan has a boring job and an MIA boyfriend, things begin looking up when fate intervenes, and she meets one of her favorite TV actors. Suddenly Bethan is brushing shoulders with famous people like Vincent Constantine and Ronnie Ruth. During her introduction to a new side of the celebrity world, she also meets someone that offers fantastic advice; no boyfriend is worth holding yourself back from reaching for your dreams, and if they really loved you, they’d want you to be happy and would support your dreams and goals.Bethan begins to wonder if leavingher comfort zone will lead her to something wonderful that will make her truly happy. One of the most important themes of the novel is to not let your boyfriend-or anyone else for that matter-keep you from going after your dreams. Another theme of the novel is that idea that sometimes there will be people in your life that lie, cheat, and commit the ultimate betrayal. Life is about being able to move past the betrayaland taking control by deleting the toxic people from your life. Behind the scenes people can be so different than the way they present themselves to the world, and sometimes, perception isn’t everything.I really enjoy the writer’s voice and writing style throughout the novel. The story was humorous but not overly so, interesting but not overkill, and filled with indicators of what was to come, but not so much that it’s all given away at once. There was one shocker that I knew was going to happen but there was a shocker that I definitely didn’t see coming! By April Wood Bethan Brooks is working a monotonous office job to support herself and her unemployed, musician boyfriend, while daydreaming about the glitz and glam of working in the movie industry. One day, she runs into her favorite movie star, Vincent Constantine, and after bumping into him a second time, he invites her on the set.“What happens on set, stays on set.”She helps out on set, and makes quite the impression. She just might have a real future in the film industry!Unfortunately, not everyone is happy about Bethan’s future, including her own boyfriend, and someone is out to sabotage her, someone she would never suspect…Bethan bounces back, but what she isn’t aware of is what’s going on behind the scenes, both in her love life and career. Her life is becoming like one of the movies she watches on the big screen!My ThoughtsMy favorite character was Bethan. She came off as real to me, and I really liked her personality. I never liked her boyfriend Lee because he was unsupportive of her dreams and aspirations, (despite him living in a fantasy world himself). I didn’t feel that they were a good match, (which I’m sure was intentional by the Author).Behind The Scenes was rather predictable. I saw the big reveal coming from a mile away. The author left little clues throughout the story that made me want to scream to Bethan, “Hellllllo! Can’t you see who “Mongoose” is!?” I mean, is anyone really THAT clueless? I will chock that up to Bethan’s trusting nature, and her head being up in the clouds due to being really excited to work in the movies. (The author did allude to Bethan’s naivety in the beginning of the novel, when she wasn’t able to discern a sarcastic joke.)Behind The Scenes focuses more on career than love, but there is some romance in this novel to round everything out. I found the plot to be believable, and I couldn’t have asked for a better ending for Bethan. All around, a good read!British-English Chick Lit novels always put me in a good mood, and for that, I am grateful to the author. I would recommend this novel to others who enjoy chick lit novels, that are set in London. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Baptism By Colleen Need help explaining baptism to your children? Look no further. This book highlights the importance of being baptized. It helps the child understand the steps they need to take before, and the steps they need to take after baptism, to keep the Holy Ghost with them. I honestly wish I had this book a couple of years ago when my niece asked me to give a talk at her own baptism. Now that I have this book, it will definitely be available for the rest of my family when the time comes for them to be baptized. The book is well written and well illustrated. Towards the end of the book they have the different stepping stones with some additional information such as Scriptures and Hymn numbers. Check out the other book they have out called "The Holy Ghost is like a Blanket".

3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. I Want to Be Baptized By Melanie What a fantastic book! I wish this book had been around when my children were preparing for baptism. It starts with a young boy asking his sister, "Why do I need to be baptized?" She gives an explanation and he summarizes it, then asks, "What else?" They spend the day together, doing different activities and talking about baptism. I love the concept. At the end, there's a two page spread where the author emphasizes each of the nine points again with scriptures and hymns or songs from the Children's Songbook which can easily be turned into Family Home Evening lessons or daily devotionals.I also love the illustrations! Corey Egbert illustrated another book I recently reviewed, "Stars, Stocking and Shepherds" by Shersta Chabot, which I also loved and, once again, I thought he did an incredible job. The pictures are fun and will easily keep a young child entertained while you read the story to them.I haven't read "The Holy Ghost is Like a Blanket," but I understand it's similar so would suggest picking it up as well. They are excellent resources for preparing a child for baptism and will make excellent gifts!I received a copy of this book to review. My opinion is 100% my own.

Poor description of the book By jake Would have been helpful if the description on Amazon included that this book is written from the faith perspective of Mormonism. In fact the little boy on the cover is holding the "Book of Mormon" not the bible but you can not clearly tell that from the image posted. It is a terrific book if you are Mormon not if you are Baptist. The book talks of baptism as a means to salvation and a necessary step in salvation which is not a a belief held by all denominations within Christianity.

Tackett I have been plying Ingress for about a year but never realized the bonuses that exists for hacking until reading this book. Went from a level 6 (where I had been at for 2 months) to a level 8 in 1 month after reading this and learning the tips. Well worth the price. Thanks for putting this together

Takes it all to a whole new level in just the first few chapters. Nicely written and well illustrated, a must have for any Ingress agent.

Not being a mother I haven’t read many books of this type, they’ve never really appealed to me but this one was somehow different. I have to admit it wasn’t quite what I expected, though this is a diary it only covers January, February and March (for some reason I thought it covered a full year) but don’t let that stop you reading, this is a gem of a book and I’m hoping this first of a series that will cover at least one full year in the lives of Dora Loveday and her family.I can’t say a lot about the content without risking spoilers (which I don’t do) but this is a brilliantly written book, it’s easy to read, funny and the characters are excellently crafted and completely realistic. In the book Dora not only has to contend with her husband and children but also pets, her mother, her in-laws, her friends and a few other people as well and her trials and tribulations with them all made me glad that my home life is a lot calmer than hers.If you want something a little bit different but realistic and funny then I would definitely recommend this book. I’ve also been advised that there are plans to publish a second book covering April, May and June.Many thanks to the author for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Nicola Kelsall's name is new to me but after reading this first offering from her I can say she is definitely a name to watch-I loved this book! I read this fairly quickly as it was so engaging and fast moving. The book's style is similar to someone such as Sophie Kinsella and it's refreshing to see a more 'normal' character-ie not a model-like woman who is absolutely perfection personified and able to buy all the designer shoes and clothes-here is a 'real' woman, a normal wife with a few kids who is trying to just get through day to day life and all its ups and downs-she's like you and me-she's believable. I found I was sniggering even in the first few lines of the book! It's such a laughable scenario on their honeymoon! I was hoping this was the shape of things to come as it was looking good even this early on! There's a nice brief prologue, it's attention grabbing and soon hooks you in. The book continues in diary format-which I like. In the first few pages the author builds up a good picture of the characters and their quirks. It has a great, concise style, I got straight in it and enjoyed it right away. The book tells of three months in this family's lives. I had just started it and next thing I knew it was well into the early hours of the morning-I wanted to read on as I was enjoying it so much! It's very amusing; just normal family life and issues people deal with but told in a nice light, refreshing and comical way. Dora's mum comes to stay with them to convalesce. Dora has to juggle her job, looking after her mum, the kids, cooking and shopping etc. It all makes for an amusing setting. Very pleasant reading, I really like the tone of this, a fun read. There's a hilarious chapter at the swimming pool! A well-observed romp through the 'normality' of family life which turns out to be anything but routine and normal. A fun, feel-good read. It just cruised along at a great pace and I couldn't put it down, I kept reading-just a bit more, just a bit more. This built so well, so funny! I spluttered on a few occasions-such perfect comedy timing by the author. This really was a great book, I enjoyed it so much. It was funny and entertaining. It had a satisfying conclusion, yet it left it open for a possible sequel-I do hope there are more adventures for this family, I will definitely be buying any follow-up books.

As a mother myself I can totally understand and imagine the ups and downs of life with a husband, four children, two dogs and a cat, not forgetting the eco loving in laws! This was such a romp of a read. It was set out like a diary and Dora, the harassed mother, guided you through each day of her life. Each day was filled with adventure, mishaps, catastrophes. Nicola, the author, has such a great imagination and her humour is just brilliant. I was laughing out loud during all Dora’s crazy days. The book flowed really well and to be honest I was sad when it ended however, I’m thrilled to learn that Nicola is writing a sequel and I’m looking forward to more from Dora and the gang.

I am glad I got this one. It gives a great overview of what cellulite is and several method to reduce the nasty orange skin cellulite, including creams with the best ingredients to fight cellulite, effective spa treatments, herbal and natural remedies, the best anti-cellulite diet, the right exercises to do, medical treatments and unconventional methods. Overall, the book is well written and researched, well worth reading it. All the information is there to help you reduce your cellulite.

Great instruction book on digital painting characters By Parka [[VIDEOID:55b964cac421f982402b080aabfa5c34]]Beginner's Guide to Digital Painting in Photoshop is a helpful guide for digital painters tackling character art. It's a 224-page paperback artbook published by 3Dtotal so the presentation style is quite similar to their other books which are filled with screenshots and instructions.The first few chapters by Benita Winckler covers the basics of character design, more on the design aspect than on digital painting, things like what makes a character appealing or an idea work. It deals with colours, anatomy and postures, compositions and other portrait drawing related topics.The next few chapters on Bram "Boco" Sels goes into the digital painting of a character and builds on the art fundamentals covers in the first few chapters. Bram's use of colours and understanding of tone looks amazing.The other chapters feature several artists which each going through their digital painting process of a character from start to finish. So you get to see more variety of characters which includes sci-fi, fantasy and the traditional portraits.Then it's followed by a Quick Tips section with many little mini tutorials that focus on certain features of the characters, e.g. different types of hair, skin, eyes, nose, mouth, clothing material.
