About the Author Dan Benevento is a data visualization consultant and trainer with a passion for using healthcare data to save the world. A black belt in the use and application of Tableau, Dan has collaborated with IT teams at leading companies and organizations nationwide to build data bases and create hundreds of time-­saving, high-­impact reports and dashboards. It covers all the basics of Tableau and works best getting analysts who are new to Tableau up to speed on the platform. The datasets used in the examples are available from their website so new users can follow along to make sure they know what they are doing. The book tops out around the intermediate level though so if you are an advanced user your skill will probably already be beyond what it covered in the book.

Extremely well documented, very easy to follow, and, very thorough explanations all the way through. The book covers a LOT of ground - highly recommended.I've been using Tableau for 10 years, and, am a Tableau officially designated Zen Master - I learned quite a few things from this book.Do not let the "Healthcare" part in the title fool you - the book uses healthcare data, easily understood by everyone, but, all examples and processes are applicable to any industry.

Heaven, its nature and our relationship to it is one of those topics which stirs our hopes and fears like few others. What is heaven like, where is it located, am I going there, are questions most of us have asked at some point in our lives. In this his latest book, John Hagee takes you on a well written journey in search of the Biblical heaven, or to be more precise the Bibles three heavens.In this three part book, Mr. Hagee looks at the three heavens mentioned and implied in the Biblical record and shares his thoughts and perspective on their nature as described in the Bible.• Part I looks at the Biblical heaven we see each night as we turn our heads to the fathomless beauty of our solar system and the galaxies beyond. Mr. Hagee describes some of the Biblical reasons why king David wrote those famous words in Psalm 19. “The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth his handywork…”• Part II looks at the so called heaven between the celestial expanse we see and dwelling place of the YHWH, the living God of the Bible. This part of the book documents the battleground of the spiritual forces of good and evil. In vivid and sobering detail Mr. Hagee shows how these spiritual battles have a profound influence on our lives. As a father of five children I especially appreciated his bold expose of the dangers which we have allowed to infiltrate our societies, homes and personal lives. By Book Snob Reviews I won’t lie, I was one of the people that believed what they taught in Sunday school about heaven and hell. That there is only one heaven. God lives there along with his angels, but reading The Three Heavens by John Hagee has changed my perspective. He frames God as an omnipresence over all of us. This book is almost breath taking in its description of the ultimate battle between good and evil should serve as a reminder for all of the live better as we prepare ourselves for what is to come after our deaths. The only other book that I remember as being this good or as thought provoking is “When God Stopped Keeping Score” from Author R.A. Clark. “When God Stopped Keeping Score” is the first book that ever took an intimate look at the power of God and forgiveness. It changed my life and given a chance, it will change yours. The story of the father, the son and the bible alone will change your life forever and is worth the price of the book alone.

By Samantha “The Three Heavens: Angels, Demons and What Lies Ahead” was a thrilling an enlightening book to read. The attention to detail and fact written between the pages was a breath of fresh air.Hagee’s additive of written narratives as told by eye-witness accounts of great miracles only gave more proof to his words. There are three heavens. One we see when we look up in the sky, one in which belongs to another and one God rules with Jesus at his right hand ready to guide others to His salvation.Since the fall of Lucifer, the creator of sin, there has been much strife in our world; from wars, to famine and the ever present natural disasters, such as the recent earthquake in Nepal. Jesus’ word is our salvation from what plagues us and we must learn to walk in his footsteps to be delivered into the arms of the light and good.It is true what the author says, “Believers, however, know that there is only one Star that illuminates more than all the billions in the heavens, and that Star is Christ our Savior!”Hagee’s newest book has done it again. He has written another piece of work worth reading time and again. It is a definite recommendation to anyone in the mood for a great read this summer.

This little book raises a very simple and effective method of meeting people where they are while sharing the person and work of Jesus Christ in a way that is relevant and on terms they can understand and apply. My only complaint is they seem driven to explain at some length what Fresh Expressions isn't, then have a circuitous path of scattershot examples leading to what it is. No matter how the impetus begins, as a group forms and grows it will need structure at many levels and eventually become "church". Which is fine and may indeed look different in 20 years than it did 20 years ago. But the author and this movement are simply and wisely applying classic Christian methods of sharing the faith in our time and context. Well said!

An Inexpensive Book Containing a Wealth of Blessing By John Dobbs I recently bought and read my friend Michael Perkins’ new book IDENTITY CRISIS: 21 Days of Discovering Who God Says You Are. Although we minister in different faith families I have been so impressed with the faith and passion of Michael.Identity Crisis is a devotional book with twenty one affirmations from Scripture that reveal God’s view of us … his love, acceptance, and forgiveness. Each day begins with a Scripture, a reflection from Michael’s life, a suggested prayer emphasis and a way to share with others the truth of God’s love for them.Some sample thoughts from this book…Even if we feel broken, God believes we are valuable.You can share the intimate things in your life with Him and He will then begin to share His heart with you…Because you are God’s friend.We are seen, because God sees us.Our purpose is to live our lives in such a way that others see Jesus living in us and say, “Jesus is beautiful.”This little book is packed with gems like those. An Extremely Encouraging 21-Day Devotional By Amazon Customer For years many of us have struggled with trying to measure up to others standards for us and for our own. We walk around calling ourselves failures. We tell ourselves we are not smart enough, good enough, nice enough, and on and on. After spending years telling himself similar things, Michael Perkins discovered that none of those things were what God had to say about him. In his book, Identity Crisis, he provides 21 short devotionals that each highlight something God has said about who we are. At the end of each of the 21 devotionals, he provides a suggested prayer emphasis for asking God to affirm His words about us in our hearts and he provides a challenge to share what God is doing in our lives.Identity Crisis is an excellent tool to assist us in moving away from the lies we have been listening to for years and towards the truth that God is speaking about us. This is an awesome piece of encouragement in a world where we are bombarded with criticism. This is a well written book that is easy to read and very encouraging.

I remember going to college and having no confidence in myself. Having the feeling that if anyone here really knew me they would find out I don't belong and would kick me out. I remember visiting with a professor who skillfully got me to share my "story" with him. When it was over he simply said, "Now there is a person on this campus who has heard your story and still thinks you are a pretty good fella". It was freeing to show who I really was without being rejected. I find now that I regularly counsel others, that there are many Christians who struggle with who they are in the face of who they feel the church is telling them they ought to be. They feel like they have to live a secret life to keep from facing rejection from the very people who should be able to understand brokenness. When they begin to realize that God DOES know who they are and is still madly in love with them, and that He sees them through His own labels for them and not through the labels stuck to them by a fallen world, they begin to experience the peace of God and are then able to engage the world as an ambassador of God instead of hiding from the world handcuffed by shame. I have just begun reading Michael Perkins book and can already tell that it will be a refreshing reminder of God's love and Grace, and will be a very capable key to unlocking prisoners of shame who have never understood before who they really are in Christ. -Rev. Not too big or small it's a perfect size for storing in your collection. I love that it's hardcover. The pages are glossy and it has a really helpful legend of icons to tell you what title belt the superstar has won. I bought it only for Sting. And the wrestlers are in alphabetical order. They give you an actual picture of the superstar plus the illustration. They are really impressive. Sting looks lovely! I highly highly recommend this book. It's truly a must have. I will include a couple pictures below.

The pictures are fantastic and the nuggets of facts are entertaining and informative. I am actually surprised at how many entries were included, as I couldn't think of very many people who were left out. They really went above and beyond to include as many superstars, divas, and other personalities from past and present as possible.A few quick notes:1. No, Benoit is not included. You know people are going to ask.2. It is in alphabetical order.3. A legend at the beginning nicely explains the icons that appears. For example, the legend shows a distinction between the different titles and accolades (such as winning the Royal Rumble). It is helpful when you land on a superstar such as Edge who has many icons under his name. Awesome idea.4. Very nice inclusion of NXT.All in all, I wouldn't be surprised if even older fans enjoyed this book but it will definitely put a smile on a youngster's face.

I thought it would be a kids book but it can be enjoyed by young & old. The first page I flipped to was an NXT star & I thought this is a pretty damn good book. I sat in the store reading it for almost half an hour before purchasing this. I've been a fan of WWE for over twenty years & this is one of the best books I've seen as it is very unique. The roster of stars from past, present, & future are well represented even though I did notice a couple superstars missing. The artwork would fit perfectly in a book about Superstars from the 90's. Highly recommend this book to young & old, well done book & I'd like them to do one over 90's superstars or an updated version.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. gritty and different and so I was glad to find this book By Caryn Peck I was looking for something a little dark, gritty and different and so I was glad to find this book. It can take a little getting used to for American eyes, as the spelling and some of the slang/phrases are distinctly Australian, but once you get over that it's a pretty entertaining read. The main character is brusque and while you may find yourself repulsed by him in the beginning, by the end you're rooting for him and his surly ways. This book actually contained a fair few surprises I was not expecting which made me more eager to finish it. While it may be a sex, alcohol and rock n roll story, it also has a tang of mystery to it. Worth the read!

Everything was well written and simple, Scott Phelps did a wonderful job! Weight-loss can be a difficult thing, but with this book, it doesn't have to be. The process to start losing weight and becoming healthier over night is literally spelled out for you. You can't ask for much more! I suggest everyone read this book at least once!

His research deals with clustered data analysis, surveillance, and epidemiological applications in projects ranging from vaccine and bioterrorism surveillance to observational epidemiology to individual-, practice-, and community-randomized interventions.

9 of 11 people found the following review helpful. A very bad reference pretending to be a tutorial By Paulo C. Rios Jr. With lots of R code and very short comments with no overall guiding text, this book looks like a hurried and bad help file of a R package. It teaches virtually nothing. It just shows and lets most of the work for the reader to figure out what is going on. Most of this book looks just like a long dictionary with bad explanations or, alternatively, just like lots of code with no supporting documentation or good comments. Chapters 1 and 2 are ok, but when it gets to the most interesting material on statistics from chapter 3 onwards, it gets lost, just listing statistical functions in R, one after the other, and pretending to bring them together under a subject. One of the worse books on R I have ever seen. It competes with the book "R for Everyone" that has the same bad style of listing code with no real explanation or structured context to follow with. Too bad, because It has some of the latest libraries and lots of interesting material, but just so poorly covered.

From standard statistical analyses to modern packages designed to make data wrangling quite easy, the examples help lead the readers through the various tasks. A great reference for someone who wants help remembering syntax and available functions. A great text for someone who wants to sit down, get their hands dirty, and learn to use R. Going through the book and examples will make you more than proficient at using R to run whatever analyses you need.

She's spunky, adorable, and with absolutely no direction in her life until she falls head over heels for Jane Randall. It's something I imagine most of us can empathize with, finding that one person who is so amazing we're willing do whatever it takes to be worthy of them. Jane challenges Kaz to take her egos seriously, and Kaz certainly doe need to get her life together. However Jane has some issues of her own she must deal with. She never thought love could be so beautiful, and it scares her. It's a case of love happening whether you're ready for it or not.Love the dialogue between Kaz and Jane. Their banter somehow manages to be caustic and still totally endearing at the same time, exactly what you'd expect from two people who absolutely click together. "Vain-glorious" has to be my new favorite word! Jane really makes Kaz come to terms with the fact that she's a bit of a coward when it comes to life, always running away rather than take any sort of risk. Sometimes she's a bit brutal about it too, like the time she introduces Kaz to Serene. Ouch! But you know, this is a great story because no one is perfect. Jane and Kaz are so totally real and believable, and they make this a really compelling story as well as a laugh out loud romance.

Should come with a health warning By Demonica I am serious...this book should come with a health warning.Do not read Shakespeare's Cuthbert if recovering from recent surgery...ensuing laughter will break your stitches.Do not read while drinking any beveridges, your Kindle will be at risk from splattered fluids as you splutter with uncontrolled mirth.Do not read while travelling on the London Underground....you will laugh out loud many times and will be avoided by the other passengers. Actually, that sounds a good idea and one way to guarantee a seat...In other words this is a very funny book indeed, hitting the floor running from page one....written by an author with a fine way with words and a rollicking sense of the absurd in so called everyday life. The larger than life characters are still believable as are the situations they find themselves in due to Mr Barrett's keen observationary skills.I will not compare Mr Barrett to any other comic writer...he is unique.Do your brain a favour and treat it to daily doses of Shakespeare's Cuthbert...laughter is a great medicine!

The premise of the plot is that in the (unnamed) valley, William Shakespeare as a young man worked as a tutor at Mandrake Hall. There he wrote his first play, critical of Queen Elizabeth I, who demanded the play be suppressed and Shakespeare turned over to the authorities for justice. The valley people hid the play and protected Shakespeare until the furor died down and it was safe for him to go to the theatrical center of England, London. Valley traditions developed, including every child's receiving a Shakespearean middle name and Cuthbert's family yearly producing a Shakespeare play. Flash forward to present day. Cuthbert, the protagonist, is an undertaker/farmer/theatrical impresario. Various outsiders, convinced that Cuthbert has priceless undiscovered Shakespeare manuscripts, arrive to enrich themselves at his expense. The plotting continues as a comedy of errors, complete with Cuthbert's production of Shakespeare's first play, Shakespeare's CUTHBERT.If you remember the 1970s Britcom SOME MOTHERS DO `AVE `EM, Frank Spencer is the prototype for Cuthbert--good intentioned, naive, gormless, producing total chaos whenever and wherever he goes, not realizing that he does so. If you don't remember Frank, think Laurel and Hardy. The villains (a former newspaper reporter, his brother who's a mercenary soldier/assassin, a deranged museum curator, a retired army captain, his downtrodden wife, malevolent twins, a thieving antiques dealer, and the head of the valley Mafia) are appropriately evil and bungling, though they are won over through involvement in the play. In the end, the existence of the play is concealed, and Cuthbert hides the manuscript in a cache of other old scrolls.I debated labeling this review with "spoilers" at the top but realized that it isn't necessary. The premise of the plot is secondary to the characters and to the laugh-out-loud humor. The writing is vivid: "When real life visited Cuthbert, it came like the seventh cavalry with the whole Sioux nation screaming behind it." SHAKESPEARE'S CUTHBERT was an inexpensive download from Kindle. I heartily recommend it. For mystery 3/5 stars (C); for slapstick comedy 5/5 stars (A+)

I laughed so much the other passengers looked at me unsure.Secondly when I finished it I started again and still the tears of laughter rolled down my face.This is a book that I will never forget and have recommended it at every opportunity.Very worthy of the 5 stars.Teresa Geering.

By C I think this is an excellent book for beginner and intermediate Java developers.The concepts apply to all Java versions, and are not specific to Java 8. In fact they are applicable to other programming languages as well.The book is divided into 3 parts:Part 1: Introduction to JUnit and powerful Hamcrest library.Part 2: Unit test best practices. How to design good unit tests?Part 3: How to maximize the benefits, by applying a virtuous cycle of test and refactoring. How to spot code smells, and refactor not only the code, but also the tests to keep everything maintainable and extensible. In addition, Mockito is introduced to improve test performance and cover hard to reach scenarios. Finally, there is a chapter demonstrating how to test threading and persistence -- often overlooked in other texts.Recommended.

Rasmusson Having come back to Java recently, I was looking for a refresher on best practices around unit testing and Jeff’s book didn’t disappoint.Chalked full of great examples, Jeff’s book introduces the beginner to the concept of unit testing, how it works, and how to get started.Jeff then expertly moves into some of the more tricker aspects of unit testing. Like how to handle private data, when and how to use mocks, refactoring, and a good introduction to TDD.I love mnemonics, and Jeff has some great ones I had never heard before. How to test using your Right-BICEP, testing boundary conditions the CORRECT way.Whether you need a refresher on unit testing, just getting started, or are looking for a refresher, Jeff’s book should be you and your team everything you need to get started. And I think this is a well timed excellent book on the subject.

By Terry Birch I consider myself as an intermediate level java programmer and one of the areas I have been concentrating on recently has been learning unit testing. I have purchased several other books on the subject but have found this one to be the best for helping me understand the java unit testing purpose and process. I can highly recommend it.
