Hannah’s back in her new book 'More Tails of a House Rabbit'. Hannah is a Flemish Giant rabbit, the largest breed in the United States, weighing in at over 17 pounds. Along with her size, she has a big personality to match. She started her life in a cage, and eventually was promoted to House Rabbit. This meant lots of lounging, treats, massages from The Humans and playtime with The Boy. In her new book, there’s a new dog in the family in addition to the border collies Hannah nicknamed ‘Dumb and Dumber’. Hannah doesn’t spare her opinions of the new little terrier she calls Yippy. She also continues a confusing ‘friendship’ with The Cat that later takes a sad turn. There’s also a new roommate for Hannah, a rabbit named Hermoine! The 4-pound Dutch rabbit is almost miniature in comparison to Hannah’s size. Will they get along? Told from the rabbit’s point of view in a light and engaging way, this book is for animal lovers of all ages. If you’ve read Hannah’s first book, you’ll find her second both a fun and tear-jerking story!

Our protagonist rabbit, Hannah, is a cheerio loving fun character who lives in a home with another rabbit, a cat, and a dog (Molly & Mantooth who she likes to refer to as Dumb & Dumber). Soon comes another dog, a Terrier, appropriately named Yippy who barks all day. Other “roommates” join the household as the story progresses. And gently interjected is the heartbreaking loss that us animal loving friends know all too well. Any animal loving reader can’t help but smile as they navigating through the pages filled with adorable Hannah antics, such as the no trespassing sign for the cat and “hopefully he understands bunny language.” It’s a simple and fast read, a feel good read, with photos that enhance the words. And I especially loved the final photo of author and big bunny.

By Book Reviewer I read the first of this (Tails of a House Rabbit) a few months back, so it was lovely to revisit the adventures of Hannah the Rabbit - and my gosh looking at that last picture of the real Hannah - she is a VERY big rabbit. The story is told in short snippets, which would make it a fun bed time read, with lots of 'to be continued' as you wouldn't get through it in one sitting. But by the end kids will have been completely enamoured in this lovely friendly rabbit and her take on the world through her bunny eyes.I was particularly sad about the Cat (say no more) but it is a real life 'tail' one which kids should read, as they get to know animals for their amazing capacity to love and their weaknesses. I was glad to see the introduction of Hermoine towards the end...It truly is a wonderful little story to share!
