He has spent his life doing what he thought would improve his enjoyment of life the most, observing what happened, and then trying again. He has lived at Buddhist monasteries. And I'm so glad I did.I don't think people would describe me as a "deep thinker" so just between us, I was a bit skeptical about this book when I read the description. I thought it might be too, well, *metaphysical* for me. In fact, it's the opposite. The questions posed in this book -- the content is nothing but questions -- are both entertaining and thought-provoking. I probably spent too much time thinking about how I felt about "What would saying 'thank you' accomplish?" and laughed easily over "How long is the list of stupid things I've done?" (Too long.)While answering the 500+ questions in this book gives me insights into how I think and who I truly am, I can also envision using this as a conversation starter with a group of friends -- as a party game, almost. Actually, if the author is so inclined, he could probably create a card game with his questions.Regardless, I recommend this book to anyone who's at a stage where they know they could benefit from some self-reflection. It's for those who realize that you can always learn something new about yourself that will help you to be a better person. It would be a great graduation or bridal shower gift, but I'm keeping this one on my coffee table to refer to periodically when I need a mental re-alignment or a quick smile.

While reading, I felt like I was having a thoughtful conversation with the author. A conversation where I could think freely about the questions he asked, and start to look at my life differently, in a more positive way. I like the idea that I can easily go back and read certain sections again. Good for anyone looking for an new kind of 'self help' book.

In the office next door worked a guy named Greg. Greg is tall. Really tall. Sometimes with long hair, sometimes with no hair. But the thing I quickly noticed was that Greg always greeted me with a big grin and asked how I was doing. It was genuine. He would disappear for weeks or months at a time and I finally asked him where he had been. There were stories of Zen monasteries and trips to far off lands. Great stuff. I was jealous. But it certainly explains why Greg was the kind of person he is.Our paths separated a few years ago but I have kept in contact with Greg and learned of his travels since then. And now Greg has written a book. A wonderful book. A book of questions. Lots of questions. Great questions. Some to quickly read and think a little about and move on the the next one, which may or may not be related to the last one. Some to really ponder and think deeply about. Life questions. But I found that I was smiling through most of them and laughing out loud at a lot of them. This is a great book. A book that can be opened to any page and enjoyed over and over again, as I have done. And since it's on the Kindle I can flip the pages just spinning the Wheel of Fortune and see where it lands. And there is no Bankrupt.Thank you Greg for a fantastic, thought provoking book. I recommend it to anyone who loves living the questions. It's how we grow and how we connect with the world and other people. No 7 Rules, 10 Pillars, 4 Steps, or 5 Whatevers. Just fun questions. And it'll put a smile on your face. ;-)Oh, and my favorite Chuck Berry song is "No Particular Place To Go". Thanks for asking.
