Knowing the drama she’ll face if her parents find out that she’s once again embarrassed them, she decides a fake marriage, followed by a quiet divorce is a better option. Rachel’s boss and friend Garret Adams is willing to step up and play the part of devoted fiancé. In return for his help, Rachel agrees to let Garret “study” their relationship for his matchmaking company.Overall, I enjoyed the book. I did find numerous misspelled words and grammatical errors though, which is always a big deal for me. In fact, there were enough of them that I thought it deserved one less star because of the editing, or lack of. Though several previous reviewers blasted the book for its unbelievable story plot, I liked the story. I liked that Rachel and Garret had very little notice of each other as anything other than friends and co-workers before they made their deal. To me this base of friendship makes their budding romance so much more solid and believable. After all, that is much more realistic that the instant chemistry storyline that so many other books follow. This was a 3 star read for me; 4 stars for the story line, less the 1 star deduction for poor editing.I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
14 of 17 people found the following review helpful. Not for me. By eabreese I absolutely could not finish this book. I made it about 1/3 of the way through and had to stop. Rachel is not a believable character for me. She found out her boyfriend of 2 years was a lying jerk and is prepared to leave him, but decides to stay because he contracted some mystery illness. His parents disown him, so at 22 or 23 she takes over financial responsibility for his care because she is afraid of what HER parents will say.... (the fact that her parents would be for her taking care of/marrying a guy they've never met doesn't ring true either). THEN she finds him "healthy" and cheating on her, so she kicks him out then leaves him in the house alone - again - not believable. On top of that, there are consistent editing issues. The book has a cute premise, but Rachel is so far from I can relate to that I just couldn't keep reading.I received this free in exchange for a review.

This story was a lot of fun to see unfold, and I got genuinely attached to the characters in here. There's little surprises that pop up over the course of this story, and it felt like when Rachel and Garret fight, they fight for real reasons like regular people, and when they get busy, they get busy like very sexy people who also have human thoughts and emotions. Five stars!
