I bought 2 copies! Once u started reading I couldn't put it down, I strongly encourage anyone who had dealt with an addiction to read this book!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A raw and very real book that will make a difference in your life. By Michael Phoenix Right off, the cover art and title are very deceiving. This is a rare book for me. I started reading Lost in the Valley while walking down the street, literally. The reason why title and cover may be deceiving: the book is very raw, completely autobiographical. and does not hold back at all. Ivana tells her story in a way that makes you can not wait to turn the page.It is easy to tell this is Ivana's true story. The details, while not going overboard easily gives the reader a clear vision of her pain, struggles and finally almost re-birth into a new person and life. Again, Ivana does not hold back and, at points, you can feel her pain as she remembers and re-visits this part of her life.On the more technical side, each chapter title and quote (under the title) gives an idea of what to expect. Ivana does a great job in keeping a smooth flow and timeline of events. It was almost like she typed up each chapter, figured out the titles and quotes separately remembering each chapter. Printed everything. Laid it out on a table and assembled the book. The amount of work Ivana placed into every aspect of Lost in the Valley is very clear after I finished it.This book is for everyone. It will give you hope when you are ready to completely give up. There is a very good chance you will be able to easily relate to her story. Not necessarily the details, but, the overall emotions and challenges she faced. There is also an excellent chance Lost in the Valley will affect you on at least one level.I finished the book in under 24 hours. Not an easy thing to do (grabbing the attention) for me.
