The author does an excellent job of sharing real life issues and the Lord working in the middle of life's storms. Life happens and these enlightening narratives gives testimony that any circumstances life throws our way is not bigger than God can handle. The book is filled with scriptures for living triumphantly, life lessons, surprising transparency, quotes and declarations. I recommend this book to believers as well as non-believers - read it, think about it, and pray about what each of these daily devotions may reveal to you. The author writes that, "As believers, we are called to be thermostats (influencers or change agents), rather than thermometers (influenced by circumstances)." She continues on to share, "We cannot allow our natural responses to control how we respond. Life happens to everyone...don't allow worry and fret to grip your heart and mind and wreck your emotional state. Nothing is too difficult for God. Be intentional about taking everything to God in prayer." This 30-day devotional readings will encourage your heart and keep you going back to reread and ponder what "thus saith the Lord" to you. Jacques McNeil's book will impact your life; I found it to be a very thoughtful and meaningful read.

Truly a "MUST READ" for those seeking to go higher in their relationship with the Lord. Jacques displays a rare transparency that is both refreshing and encouraging. When you get this book and read "Day 1" you will be moved and touched by how she shares such a personal pain with the world, and how God turned that event into a personal triumph!!. I'm so excited to have this amongst my library of books that I will refer to over and over for wisdom, encouragement, inspiration, invigoration and guidance into how to overcome by the power of God and learning to trust the process. This book could not have shown up at a better time in my life...I think it will be a blessing to you also because we all are yearning for the openness of someone's life circumstances, especially when they have faced challenges and how they made it through. This is such a book!!! I thank God for it and for Jacques McNeil answering the call to help others through this writing. Kudos!!!!

Very motivational book that can be used for many settings: Sunday School, book club or just hanging out with the ladies. Im so excited to share it with my family, friends and colleagues.
