Wry humor permeates the novel and the reader is blissfully taken down a path following his life’s journey beginning with his mischievous school days to finding the love of his life amongst the unlikely characters he happens upon in this charming community. Honeymoon Parish elevates you to a different reality where neighbors lend each other a hand and people accept others and love them for who they are. From the moments of despair to the feeling of falling in love you are enveloped in this story that gives us all a little lesson on living life in community with each of the imperfect people that inhabit our world.

I read quite a bit of heavier material, so I was looking for something that was light and entertaining. I found it. Mr. Hale's clever phraseology is absolutely delightful. I could have rushed through this book because it is that good, but I didn't want to miss anything!
