Ms. Mahogany takes you on a journey within the pages of this book that will make you glad that you chose to read it. IN MY DEFENSE realistically places you in the life of Wesley Thomas, a lawyer, who thought he was going to close a deal with a client and maybe do a little vacationing, however, he finds himself reliving his life from childhood to present day because of unfolding circumstances. Wesley Thomas will be tempted, tested and betrayed all while visiting his childhood home and trying to uphold the moral upbringing of his parents. IN MY DEFENSE had me feeling like I was watching a movie on the big screen. I could see the long loving look that Wesley gave Sabrina even when she gave him attitude. I can completely take in the beauty that is Wesley no matter what situation he was in. I could feel the love of a father and son and I even cried when Wesley and Sabrina FINALLY embraced each other and sobbed. I can truly tell you that it left me wanting more...

Intriguingly bringing attention to the weight that decisions can easily carry, the author highlighted the importance of making sound choices that directly influence the quality of life. Sometimes it’s easy to regard tangible things as substitutes for things that we refuse to deal with, and this book is a reminder to not leave those things undone. It alerts the differences between “success” and “good success.” You’ll finish this book feeling empowered and inspired to pursue things that really matter.
