From the Inside Flap My fascination with Carl Jung and his theory of Synchronicity led me to study the man's life in great depth. That investigation uncovered a wealth of intriguing paranormal events experienced by Jung himself. Wishing to share that information with others, I wrote about the great man's adventures in an extensive blog series.Much to my amazement, those postings became extremely popular, so much so that the results prompted me to write this book. Including the Carl Jung stories just as I wrote them on my blog, I then added other similar events from my own life and the lives of close associates to form a cohesive look at paranormal and coincidental occurrences. Ghosts, poltergeists, past lives, out-of-body experiences and premonitions are just a sampling of topics explored in the fifty-five true life stories offered to readers inCarl Jung, Hauntings and Paranormal Coincidences.

About the Author Doug Dillon is an award winning Florida author and educator who writes about things paranormal and historical. His nonfiction and fiction efforts for adults and young adults take readers on wild, unforgettable adventures they will long remember. Doug's first nonfiction book on the paranormal, originally published by an imprint of Prentice Hall, titled . . . An Explosion of Being: An American Family's Journey into the Psychic,. . .was co-authored with his wife Barbara. It tells the amazing story of how husband and wife explored the nature of existence and uncovered answers that shook the foundations of their lives. Carl Jung, Hauntings, and Paranormal Coincidences,. . . Doug's second and most current of his true life supernatural research projects, carefully examines the nature of synchronicity and its relation to ghostly appearances, past lives, out-of-body experiences and premonitions. Using his paranormal understanding and love for history as a springboard, Doug took a leap of faith and jumped into the world of fiction. The result was . . . The St. Augustine Trilogy, . . .for young adults and adults young at heart. This paranormal/historical series takes place in modern day St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest and most haunted city in the United States. It is in those pages that fifteen-year-old Jeff Golden battles terrifying forces beyond his understanding and travels back in time to some of Florida's most fascinating events as they occurred. The titles for the trilogy are: Sliding Beneath the SurfaceStepping Off a Cliff Targeting Orion's Children

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. this work is clearly a work of love, and By Steven Ballou I have had a lengthy connection to Doug Dillon's writings and have found immense pleasure in seeing Doug offer Young Adults the opportunity to be introduced to the world of Spirituality via a Native American shaman in Doug's trilogy that incorporates Doug's passion for history, integrated in the inter-dimensional world of St. Augustine. In his latest work, Carl Jung, Hauntings, and Paranormal Coincidences, Doug introduces us to the world of occultism through the re-telling of experiences Doug and his wife, Barbara, have had; of re-telling documented experiences that Dr. Carl Jung had as a young man, as well as friends and acquaintances. This book is not intended to be about Dr. Jung or a compilation of his academic studies; his name is used in the title to give reference and substance to a subject that has not always been discussed publically. Because the nature of Spiritual experience has been disputed and frequently shut down, Doug Dillon hopes that by adding Dr. Jung's experiences to the book, many individuals will be receptive to the idea that, indeed, we do not walk alone in this world.I admired Doug Dillon and his wife's book, which is clearly a work of love, and, they are both very dedicated to sharing their experiences to help others who may not be aware to what might be happening in their own homes, or, places of work, as well as those old B&B homes that you might find yourself in during a summer vacation.Historically, texts of this nature have been written over the past 100 years, and, yet very few are willing to acknowledge the role and impact that the Spirit world has in our lives. Over 40 years ago, I found myself reading books of this nature, as well as reading Jung's memoir and academic material to better comprehend the reality of Spirits in our midst. If Doug and his wife have the time, energy and passion to keep writing books on the supernatural, I hope they will consider taking this topic to another level. Many of the Spirits that have been encountered have been locked in to a past time; they are usually souls who have become `stuck' in a certain place/time/date and have not moved on with their soul journey. As interesting as it is to interact with them, it would be wonderful to see Doug write a book about how these same souls can be re-connected with their spiritual journey and freed from their fears of moving forward. It requires looking at these souls with love, compassion and encouragement to re-connect with their loved ones, to realize the world of Spirit is quite vast and holds unlimited possibilities for growth and development.I am a psychologist, and, I adhere to the tenets of transpersonal psychology, that we can not truly know who we are until we incorporate all components of our selves: physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. This book is a part of all of us, the journey that we are all taking is inherently connected to those stories told in this book, written with so much joy, curiosity, and intelligence by Doug and his wife to help us all understand ourselves better. I place this book in the same category as I do Oliver Sacks: both Doug and Oliver are attempting to have us see the world in a different perspective, one that makes us richer, wiser and more informed.I hope you will purchase this book. You may find yourself, as I did, mulling over the contents long after you have read the book, wondering how are all those souls doing, did they move on with their journey, or are they still waiting to be awakened and to recall that their journey has many more doorways, hallways, and, dimensions to explore?Cheers!

Doug Dillon and his wife Barb are truly spiritual people. In Doug’s new book, Carl Jung,, Hauntings, and Paranormal Coincidences , Doug takes us through his and Barbara’s lifetime of contacts with other worldly experiences, sourcing , and supernatural coincidences. He also explores the world of our relationship with the spiritual world by comparing and drawing on the writings’ of Carl Jung, noted early twentieth century psychiatrist and paranormal researcher.Since his childhood, Doug, the son of an Air Forde Colonel, has lived in many places and has experienced many seemingly improbable coincidences both here and abroad. He has kept a journal over the years and has also written blogs on his and Barb’s experiences. Carl Jung, Hauntings and Paranormal Coincidences is the result of sifting through that journal and those blogs, along with excerpts from an earlier work, An Explosion of Being, that he wrote with Barb, and the experiences of Jung, and melding them into a riveting presentation of the real world of the paranormal.Doug is also the author of a young Adult trilogy, called The Saint Augustine Trilogy , which takes place in St. Augustine Florida, one of the most “haunted” cities in the world. Naturally enough, Doug drew on many of his “real experiences” for those stories too.If you like “the Paranormal”, you’ll love Carl Jung, Hauntings and Paranormal Coincidences. As a matter of fact, even if you haven’t explored the world of coincidences and sightings in the past, I assure you, you’ll still like Doug’s work.

Doug Dillon did excellent job by putting a journey into unknown world By Thomas Reda Doug Dillon did excellent job by putting a journey into unknown world. The book reminded us that we are connected and there is one who has absolute control over all nature. As I read this book, I was very interested and gave a credit to the author for the thoughtful description of paranormal world with a series of encounters. The stories and encounters described in this book changed my thinking of time and space, and it reminded us that all events are not accident. The events are here to teach or assist us of future events or encounters. The book didn’t waste a lot of time addressing general issues that can be found in a hundred other writing books. Instead, it got right to the point and focused on the unique stories that arise specifically when you encounter with unknown special powers and your world includes non-humans.In reading this book, I find myself perusing the story, amazed at how each of the separate stories are strangely entwined with the others, and how they evolve and blend into the flow of the main plot. The book is truly an entertaining and informative read that stays with me. I recommend this book to all age groups and I look forward to his another book.
