About the Author

Vickie T Baker is a daughter, mother, wife, consumer, traveler, engineer, health advocate, and author. She has managed complex technical projects for companies such as Xerox, Affiliated Computer Services, and Lockheed Martin for the past thirty-four years in the U.S. and abroad.

A certified project management professional, she received her bachelor’s degree in industrial and management engineering and health coach certification accredited through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

A champion for Making your life happen one plan at a time. Through on-line and group programs, Vickie specializes in using project management tools to coach her clients to live long, happy, and healthy lives, while making their dreams come true.

She, her husband, and dog, Izabel, split their time between the beaches of Florida and the mountains of Montana. An avid reader, nature lover and health advocate, she is a proud mother of three wonderful children and two grandsons.

It is packed full of thought provoking information about living through menopause and into your next 50 years with meaningful passion and purpose. The author Vickie Baker, has laid the groundwork for you to easily be able to apply her four-step goal setting formula to making your life happen on your terms within the parameters of the 80/20 rule landscape she defines. The author provides a ton of tips regarding healthy eating and exercising that is appropriate to what she gracefully identifies as the afternoon portion of your life.This is a must read book for every women over the age of 45. The insight and wisdom you will gain is priceless. Reading this book has changed my life in ways that I knew were possible, but didn’t yet have the formula needed to implement to the fullest. This book filled in all the blanks for me and in a way has also given me the permission I needed to live the kind of life I want to be living now. Vickie is so right when she says, “How I live the next 50 years will be different than the first 50 years.I also got a big chuckle out of the Carlton Cards quote she used, "The 7 menopausal Dwarfs: Itchy, Bitchy, Sweaty, Bloaty, Sleepy, Forgetful and psyco!"

By Tiffany deSilva I received an advanced complimentary copy of Your Next Best 50 years and even though I am not 40 years old yet, I found a lot of value in this book. "Your Next Best 50 Years" is a great read for any woman who wants to be proactive about getting the most out of her life. Vickie shares practical strategies on how to actually make your goals and dreams a reality while paying close attention to your overall health and well-being. She thoroughly explores many of the issues that women face later in life. I particularly enjoyed her discussion of menopause, as it is a topic that often isn't talked about enough. I recommend this book, not just for women over forty, but even thirty-somethings like me.

Long gone are the days of women sitting around waiting for grey hair, wrinkles, a cane and grandkids. It's a brand new world for us older women, and Vicki Baker brings hope, health and happiness to all of us over 40 goddesses. I love how she calls it "meno-pause" because, yep, it's just a pause before we move on to our next great life adventure. I highly recommend this book to all women feeling like they need a wind in their sail.
