Scott Normally, I love to time travel back to the 1800s in the Old West, but one contemporary author keeps me grounded in the twenty-first century. With every new book release from inspirational author Sandra D. Bricker, I think she can’t improve, but Moments of Truth is even better than her previous contemporary romance novels! I love the way she weaves in the stories of five different women at various stages of life who meet for "book group," which is just a good excuse to talk, eat, and interact with each other’s lives in a meaningful way. The romance is stellar! And the men are swoon-worthy. I promise you’ll fall in love with all the characters. Even though I read an early manuscript, I’ve pre-ordered the book to read again . . .and again . . . and again. Highly recommended!
8 of 8 people found the following review helpful. I loved this book By Donna I loved this book. I laughed, I cried and laughed again. This book to me was a realistic portrayal of friendships. There is a little crazy, a bit of tears and a lot of laughter. I enjoyed the twists and turns this book took as it navigated through the complexities of marriages and singles falling in love. These five friends are so different in their careers, ages and race but their book club that has very little to do with books and more to do with deserts has brought them together in an unbreakable bond. They have moments when they have to come together to tell another the truth in the most gentle way possible. This book makes me want to start a "book club".Disclosure: I received this book free of charge from the publisher for editing purposes. 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful. The truth is...I LOVED this book! By Barbara Roose Moments of Truth sums up all of the things that I love about Sandra Bricker's books! She masterfully created a chorus of complex characters that I wanted to care about as well as storylines with a magical mixture of bitter and sweet. I wish that I kept track of all of the times that I yelled, "Oh no, she didn't!" while reading. I deeply enjoyed the dramatic storylines because, "oh, yes, she did!" It takes a lot of talent to interweave the lives of those rich characters, but Sandie did it in such a way that made me want to get together with my girlfriends. Another big winner from Sandie Bricker!
