I picked up this book in the Kindle Unlimited program. It contains mostly traditional fables and fairy tales, but there are some original stories as well. I found myself getting caught up in the author's experience that led him to write a book where men are portrayed as bold, fearless men who know what they want and go for it.I found the adapted stories quite funny and entertaining. They are irreverent, completely lacking in today’s overly sensitive PC-only speak, and have the possibility of being offensive to some readers. The heroes harken back not exactly to Ralph Kramden days, but more like Peter Griffin meets Hercules. I found it quite refreshing. Of course, I like that sort of humor, so there ya’ go.
