By Amazon Customer Much a part of engaging our patients involves decisions of treatment using experimental technology AFTER they realize standard of care couldn't hold cancer in check. The patient partner or significant family are usually involved. Often my initial consult discussion sadly involves a breakdown of family/friend relationships and support related to cancer and cancer complications. However, in my position of designing cutting edge molecular targeted therapeutic plans for patients, key relationships in the family have been built back up in a determined way, to try and find a new possible therapeutic opportunity for the cancer patient. I think the love and support helped just as much as the medications to heal Rose! Highly recommend this read and for anyone going through the tough battle of cancer, this book is an eye opener. Written not only by a spouse, but a medical physician, who gives insight into what to expect and how to combat the onslaught of drugs!
