Johnston Amazing book filled with insights, stories and scriptures that beautifully teach the way to a life filled with peace and happiness. It gave me much to take home and work on in the relationships in my life, as well as a lot of hope for a wonderful result if I will consciously choose to respond positively to the negative I will face. I enjoyed the book immensely and plan on giving it to family and friends for Christmas gifts this year.

My real intent was to try to find something that I might share with a couple I know that are struggling with life’s challenges and Satan’s influences that we all, at one time or another and in varying degrees, face. The first chapter captured my attention and I had to read on. I found it to be a very pointed and thought provoking treatise, one filled with more than adequate scriptural and Church leader references.After reading the book I found it to be the ideal gift for this couple. But what surprised me more was that “I” learned more about the Atonement and what my responsibilities are to insure that it is available to me in its fullest force. It is not just about me changing my internal action – my heart and mind – but how I need to relate to others who I have offended or who have offended me. To quote the author “Beauty for Ashes will inspire you to believe that you can become the Christlike response to whatever hurt my come into your life”.I would heartedly recommend this book to all. Its values can have a direct influence on all the hurts and wow’s we experience.
