How nutty is that? However I found this author's book a refreshing real world perspective into the current state of 3D printing and how it relates to your Joe average consumer/maker.As someone recently bitten by the bug of "3D Printing" I certainly appreciate all the hype regarding this technology and how it's changing the world. However unlike Chris Anderson's book, Makers: The New Industrial Revolution (which I also highly recommend) Melissa Darnell emphasizes how this technology can change YOUR life, today.Historically, passive income streams have seemed to belong more to movie stars and recording artist collecting residuals from their work. However technology and companies such as Shapeways have established mechanisms that allow anyone with a Maker bent to not only create, but seamlessly offer their creations for sale to the public with little to no risk.She provides practical hands-on advice on everything from 3D software tools (many free), establishing a niche (keep it narrow), internet marketing (surprisingly Facebook not recommended), print on demand services (Shapeways), and examples of others like herself that have excelled in this marketplace.All this with a writing style that feels more like sitting with a friend over coffee and sharing a conversation about your latest favorite passion.

Then someone shows you a new way of looking at it and all of a sudden it makes sense? That is how I felt when I read The Blue Jeans Gospel…it all clicked into place.Rob Cruver explains in detail and with Biblical examples of what God expects from us and how this will bring us closer to having a more comfortable relationship with God….just as you are when wearing a comfortable pair of blue jeans. Mr. Cruver breaks down God’s expectations into two areas of life. First he explains how to live by living as Jesus lived. Second, he discusses how to serve and have a servant’s heart just as Jesus did.Rob Cruver breaks down each of these sections in such a clear way that areas that were personally vague for me were broken open with understanding shining through. I was particularly focused on his discussion on forgiveness and what exactly that act is. Forgiveness has been described to me in so many different ways I was reeling with the understanding of it. If you forgive did it mean you had to act as if the hurt and pain caused no longer exists? So if you are devastated by the actions of someone and they say they are sorry and you respond with they are forgiven, what happens to that pain? Once you forgive is that the end of the situation? In The Blue Jeans Gospel, Rob Cruver shows how forgiveness truly works and how it will not only affect the one offering the forgiveness but the one who is asking for it. The amazing clarity this author gave me into this area of confusion will forever be treasured.How we live, and I mean what we want to feel and project to others, speaks about our character. Rob Cruver explains how to show ourselves as living our lives according to the example set by Jesus. Love. Forgiveness. Humility. Living our lives with these three characteristics as our foundation we will live and grow closer in our relationship with God as HE has asked us. God’s wishes for us do not end with these three, but continues with living a life of a servant. God asks that we serve HIM and others with love. The Blue Jeans Gospel is a unique way of looking and understanding what God wants from us. There will be times as Rob Cruver points out that we will not be comfortable and those jeans will not feel right, but we need to continue wearing and stretching those uncomfortable jeans.I recommend this book to anyone who is searching for a closer relationship with God and understanding what HE wants us to do. Humble, heartwarming, relatable, thought provoking book for either those just coming to experience a closer relationship with our Lord or for those who have been a follower for a long time. The author does share love of the word and keeps himself in check as an individual who struggles with everyday matters just as so many of us do and shares glimpses into his personal background and provides insight.

By Eileen Wong My family has been tremendously blessed and encouraged by the preaching and teaching ministry of Pastor Rob Cruver on a weekly basis. He is able to bring such clarity of understanding of scripture and can effectively communicate a message of hope and encouragement in such a profound way to impact people's lives. When you have met Pastor Rob, you've met the persona of the love and compassion of God. He is definitely a gem in Christ and a genuine man of God. This book encompasses who he is in Christ. Therefore, it is with no hesitation that I heartily and highly recommend that you buy his book and read it to be moved & touched by the Almighty God.

More-Than-Gorey Reflection on the Alphabet By DrPat Edward Gorey captured the alphabet in a gruesome, yet whimsical, way, with "The Gashlycrumb Tinies" and its illustrations of 26 alphabetically-named children dying in unusual ways: "A is for Amy who fell down the stairs, B is for Brian assaulted by bears, C is for Clara who wasted away. D is for Desmond thrown out of a sleigh..." (Gorey's alphabet)I must have had some expectation of the same whimsy in art and text from Romeo's "Alphabeticus Atrocitus," so my initial reaction was horror. There is no whimsy here. Don't expect chuckles.But don't flip through and discard this little book, either. There is some real meat in these images. Consider the page: "T is for Tree." In the foreground, a sketch of a tree-trunk, grass at its roots, provides the obvious image. Yet on a hill in the background, a trio of rather different trees raises Golgotha limbs over the landscape.Or "F is for Fire": My first impression was of a burning factory with a stream of workers escaping the flames. But then... Who are the men with guns on either side of them? Perspective flips, and I see that these people are being herded *into* the fire.No, these images have neither the brilliance of Gorey's art nor the Gothic humor of his verse. What they do have is depth and weight. Spend a little time to learn how atrocious our English alphabet can be. Neither your time nor the pittance of a price will be wasted.Liner Notes:Three things cost the book a star in my rating:1. This eBook-only publication is restricted to Portrait-only. I laughed all the way through it. You never knew what kind of trouble that Sylvia and Maggie were going to get into. This kept me entertained and laughing the entire time I was reading. Sue hope Stacey is going to write another one and make it a series. Sure would like to see what other escapades Sylvia and Maggie get into. Also would like to see how the relationship between Maggie and Bradley turns out. Superb Writing!!!!!

Diagnosing the disease remains a challenge, and patients often struggle with their illness for years before an identification is made. Some health care providers have been skeptical about the serious physiological - rather than psychological - nature of the illness. Once diagnosed, patients often complain of receiving hostility from their health care provider as well as being subjected to treatment strategies that exacerbate their symptoms.

Beyond Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome proposes new diagnostic clinical criteria for ME/CFS and a new term for the illness - systemic exertion intolerance disease(SEID). According to this report, the term myalgic encephalomyelitis does not accurately describe this illness, and the term chronic fatigue syndrome can result in trivialization and stigmatization for patients afflicted with this illness. Beyond Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome stresses that SEID is a medical - not a psychiatric or psychological - illness. This report lists the major symptoms of SEID and recommends a diagnostic process.One of the report's most important conclusions is that a thorough history, physical examination, and targeted work-up are necessary and often sufficient for diagnosis. The new criteria will allow a large percentage of undiagnosed patients to receive an accurate diagnosis and appropriate care.
